Academy of Weapon Technology and Management (AWTM) Technical Trades Notification 2026 has been released under Advertisement No. 01/Hiring-GSF/AWTM/2026-27 on the official website, aweil.in. A total of 40 vacancies have been announced through the AWTM Technical Trades Recruitment 2026.

Candidates aged 18 to 35 years who have passed Matriculation and possess an NTC/NAC certificate in the relevant trade are eligible to apply for these Technical Trades vacancies. Candidates must print the application form from the website, fill it exclusively in Block Letters, and mail it along with required self-attested documents and two additional self-attested photographs (with signatures on the back). The envelope must clearly display the following text:

Posts, Eligibility and Pay

Educational Qualification: Matriculation plus National Trade Certificate (NTC) or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) issued by the National Council of Training in Vocational Trades (NCTVT) in the respective trade as per SRO:

• Electrical Fitter: Electrical Fitter trade
• Mechanical Fitter: General Fitter (Mechanical) trade
• Machinist: Machinist trade
• Turner: Turner trade
• Electroplater: Electroplater trade
• Heat Treatment Operator: Forger and Heat Treater trade

Age Limit: 18 to 35 years as on the last date of receipt of application. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government rules: 5 years for SC/ST (for posts reserved for SC/ST), 3 years for OBC Non-Creamy Layer (for posts reserved for OBC), military service duration plus 3 years for Ex-Servicemen, 10 years for PwD (PH), 13 years for SC/ST PwD, and 15 years for OBC PwD. Matriculation/Class 10 Board certificate or marksheet serves as proof of date of birth.

• Self-attested copies of educational and qualification certificates (Matriculation and NTC/NAC)

• Caste or category certificate in the prescribed format (including Appendix-1 Undertaking for OBC candidates)

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected based on marks obtained in the NCTVT (NCVT) Trade Test / Practical Test alone. The cut-off percentage to be called for the trade test will be determined by Academy of Weapon Technology & Management, Ichapur based on total marks obtained in NCTVT. The trade test will be conducted by AWTM Ichapur. The merit list will be prepared based on combined marks obtained in the NCTVT examination and the trade/practical test, carrying a weightage of 80% and 20% respectively. Shortlisted candidates in order of merit will be called for document verification up to the limit of notified vacancies per discipline and category. A ratio of 1:10 will be maintained for vacancies and interviews if applicable.
