THSTI Research Associate & Project Associate-I/II Recruitment 2026 – FAQs
Q1. Are these positions permanent or on contract?
These are short-term project-based positions, and extension is subject to satisfactory performance of incumbents and the tenure of the project. Appointees will not have any claim for regularization of their employment.
Q2. Is House Rent Allowance (HRA) paid in addition to the monthly emoluments?
Yes, the monthly emoluments for both Research Associate-I and Project Associate-I/II carry HRA in addition to the base pay.
Q3. What are the specific age limits and relaxations applicable?
The upper age limit for both posts is 35 years as of the interview date. Age relaxations apply to SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, Central Government servants, Institute employees, and Ex-servicemen as per government rules.
Q4. What practical experience is required for the Research Associate-I post?
Candidates must have hands-on experience in laboratory animal handling and in vivo experimentation, along with a Ph.D. and at least one first-author publication in a peer-reviewed journal.
